Using conscious movement to explore the physicality and cycle of our sexual energy, Libido Fundamentals understands sexual energy within the broader definition of Libido as life force: the birthplace of creativity, vitality and presence.

As the heart and body awaken through the practice of moving meditation, our sexual energy begins to awaken as well.
During the weeekend we may feel sexy, radiant, desirable and the next moment feel guilty, awkward and shy.
We may feel overwhelmed by our experience or the sexual energies around us, or feel flat, disconnected, or simply cut off.

Our generative and sexual energy – our Libido – is an essential part of our body’s natural expression: it is complicated at certain times, ecstatic at other times; absent or burdened by the expectations of past experiences, or completely present and alive.

This energy that is internal, and that moves outside of us and between us in our relationships, allows us to dance with our desire for freedom.
Libido Foundations is the beginning of a complex and creative journey that introduces the foundation for using conscious movement as a means to ground and explore the physical language of our sexual energy, with a particular emphasis on joy and courage.

During this workshop there is no explicit sexual content or exercises, we are starting to trace the ‘how we are’. How our conditioning, gender, culture can stimulate or hinder our ability to move with our innate sexual life force, creativity and capacity for pleasure.

People of all genders, ages and sexual orientations are welcome.
